POST COVID-19 APPOINTMENT

YOUR POST COVID-19 APPOINTMENT

Dear Patients,

I hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. As Delaware nears reopening, some of you have inquired about our availability to commence elective procedures. We will begin contacting patients to schedule appointments. In this Post COVID-19 world we live in, your safety remains our top priority. You should continue to expect the same quality dental care you have come to expect of us. We would like to take a brief moment to share some of the new infection control protocols and guidelines for your next appointment.

  1. 30 minutes prior to your appointment, we will call or text a reminder. Please wear your mask!
  2. Upon arrival, please stay in the car and contact the office. We will contact you once we are ready to see you. Children under 18 can be accompanied by an adult.
  3. Once you have been contacted, a team member will bring you to the foyer.
  4. You will answer a short series of COVID-19 related questionnaire followed by a temperature check with a touch-less infrared thermometer.
  5. Upon entering the waiting room from the foyer, you will notice changes to the waiting room. We have removed all the magazines, toys in the kids’ playroom as well as removal of some chairs to ensure proper social distancing. We will minimize your time spent in the waiting room.
  6. Installation of “sneeze guards” near the check in/out counter with hand sanitizers readily available.
  7. You will notice our new True HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) PlasmaWave air purifiers strategically placed in the vestibule to capture up to 99.97% of pollutants and harmful germs.
  8. In addition, we have also equipped every treatment operatory with an even more powerful Medical Grade Filtration H13 True HEPA Air Purifier unit which purifies each room of bacteria and viruses in less than 10 minutes.
  9. Once seated in the treatment room, you will be asked to wash your hands immediately followed by pre-rinsing with 1.5% hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse to decrease viral count.
  10. Each of the team member will follow strict OSHA/CDC infection control guidelines including proper attire, N95 mask as well as face shield.
  11. We will elongate each appointment time to further enhance our already stringent disinfection protocols. This will also allow us to regulate patient flow in manners where we continue to follow proper social distancing guidelines.
  12. Delay care and reschedule if you exhibit COVID-19 symptoms such as: Fever, Shortness of breath, difficulty in breathing, coughs, flu-like symptoms, G-I upset, headaches, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, or had been in contact with COVID-19 positive patients as well as recent travel to restricted areas.
  13. If you noticed any COVID-19 like symptoms after the appointment, see a physician immediately. If you tested positive, please be courteous and notify us IMMEDIATELY!
  14. Post COVID-19 appointments are difficult to schedule, please give us adequate time (24-48 hours) if you need to cancel or reschedule. Thank you for your cooperation!

BE SAFE, WEAR A MASK, WE HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!

Dr. Hans Liu, DDS FAGD
